Athletics

Middle School Athletic League (MSAL): Our students compete citywide in soccer, basketball, and girls' volleyball, building teamwork, discipline, and school pride.

New York Road Runners Track Club: Launching this spring, our track club gives students the chance to train, race, and build healthy habits through NYRR's youth running programs.

Enrichment & Arts

Global Kids: Through this leadership program, students explore global and civic issues, develop their voices, and learn to take action in their communities.

Chess in the Schools: Students learn strategy, patience, and critical thinking through chess instruction and tournament play.

Gowanus Music Club: Students learn to play, collaborate, and perform together through band-based music instruction with experienced Brooklyn musicians.

BRIC Media Arts: In partnership with one of Brooklyn's leading arts and media organizations, students learn to tell their own stories through video and digital media.

STEM Club: Led by MS 266 teachers, our STEM Club gives students the chance to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through hands-on projects and real-world challenges. Students work in teams to design, build, test, and improve their ideas, developing the problem-solving, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills at the heart of our IB approach.
