Good, Better, Best
World-Class IB Education
MS 266 offers the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, one of the only IB-accredited public middle schools in New York City. Our rigorous curriculum includes Math, ELA, Science, Humanities, Music, and Physical Education, all aligned with Danielson's Framework for Teaching and New York State standards. Students have access to modern technology, comprehensive learning resources, and community partnerships that enrich their educational experience and support project-based learning.
Project-Based Learning
At MS 266, learning comes alive through hands-on projects that connect to real-world issues. Students collaborate, conduct research, and present their findings throughout the year. From multiple project showcases to school concerts, our students demonstrate their learning while developing essential 21st-century skills.
Connected to Community
MS 266 extends learning beyond classroom walls through community partnerships, after-school programming, and family engagement. We leverage Brooklyn's rich cultural resources and maintain strong connections with families citywide to create a supportive network where every student can succeed.
By the time our students graduate, they've learned to be effective communicators, the kind of people who lead, guide, and create real change. Whether they become lawyers, parents, or citizens writing legislation, they know how to articulate their message and be taken seriously.
